ANNEX 1: SPECIFICATION FOR WRITING THE SCIENTIFIC PAPER

Specification for posting a paper in the Journal of Maternity (ISSN 1859-3844)

When submitting your proposal, please provide full personal information including: your full name, academic rank, academic degree, workplace, contact number, email address and comply with the following rules:

1. Draft submission:
Computerized on A4 size paper
Attach file

2. Font:
Unicode, Times New Roman, size: 12, spacing: 1.0

3. Length:
Not include tables, diagrams, references.
Overview: maximum of 3500 words
Research study: maximum of 3000 words
Clinical case: maximum of 1000 words
Each table and diagram: maximum of 250 words

4. Layout:
Top, bottom, left, right: 2.54 cm

5. Summary:
Includes: Title, Author, Goals, Methods, Results, Conclusion and Keywords.
Title: in Vietnamese and English, should be clear and concise
Authors:
+ Information of all authors, name, academic rank, academic degree
+ Contact information of the author whom is responsible for the manuscript.
Keywords: The list of keywords is formatted from Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) under Index Medicus system.

6. Full text content:
Includes: Rationale (with research objectives), Object and Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, Appendix (if any).

7. Tables, charts, diagrams:
The tables contain information that not stated yet in the article content, and not duplicated.
A maximum of 5 tables for an overview or research study.
The symbols, lines in the diagram, graph must be large enough to read when minimized in printing. Images must be saved in JPEG format in a separate file, not larger than 2 Mb, with captions.
All tables, diagrams, and figures must be placed in separate pages at the end of the article.

8. References :
The references in the manuscripts must be verified.
References materials are presented in Vancouver style at the end of the manuscript, are numbered sequentially according to the citation order in the manuscript, irrespective of the type of language.
